英语系光华英语俱乐部开展 关于抗击疫情英文励志演讲模仿活动
新年伊始，疫情爆发，全国上下，齐心协力，众志成城、共克时艰。我院学生社团认真践行“党有号召，团有行动”，充分发挥学生社团在疫情防控中的作用，利用网络空间，注重创新手段，开展方向正确、积极健康、形式多样的线上学生社团活动，为抗击疫情贡献自己的青春力量。
英语系学生社团开展了关于英文励志演讲主题语音模仿活动，旨在提高同学们在特殊时期的学习积极性，增强同学们的爱国情怀和对坚决打赢这场疫情狙击战的信心。本次活动以刘洁的We Are All Fighters为题材，社团的成员们根据音频为标准开始模仿语音语调。
通过本次活动，同学们在语音模仿的过程中体会到了在疫情狙击战的“最美逆行者们”的艰苦与不易、无私与大爱；感受到了中华民族的强大、人民群众的团结，从中也更加让我们青年大学生努力学习、早日成为为祖国做贡献的栋梁之才。

《我们都是战士》

This is a war without smoke,
这是一场没有硝烟的战争
and we are all fighters.
而我们都是战士!
To the fighters
致敬所有的战士们!
We are facing a dark time right now.
我们正面临着黑暗时刻
Some of us are stuck at home be stuck

Some are stuck far away from home
有些人不得不滞留他乡
Some of us have lost their jobs，

Some have to shut down their businesses

Some of us are cutting down the expenses

Some can’t even pay their rent and bills

Some can’t go back to school

Some can’t get back to their jobs

And some of us are still working day and night,

no matter how exhausted they are

The fear is growing

It seems that all of a sudden

the whole country lost its vitality and prosperity.

You are not the only one who is worrying,
你不是一个人在担忧
you are not the only one who is fearing,
你不是一个人在恐惧
You are not the only one who is struggling

Our whole country is facing a dark time right now.

This is a war!

It’s a war without guns, bombs, or smoke

But it’s a war with virus, doubts,[da&O50;t]
fears, rumors, and discrimination.

But we shall all be fighters, my dear fellows!

Not just the doctors, the nurses, the policemen and the scientists who should fight

All of us should be the fighters in this war

We shall fight against fear

We shall fight against doubts

We shall fight against selfishness

We shall fight against rumors

We shall fight against discrimination

This is going to be a fierce and cruel war

But don’t be afraid,
但是不用害怕
We’re going to win this war together in the end!我们终将取得这场战争的胜利
Our people may get sick,
我们的人民可能生病
our city may get sick,
我们的城市可能生病
but we as a brave nation
但我们作为一个勇敢的民族
will never ever get sick
绝不会被病毒打倒
Because we have the spirit,
history and determination to win.

We’ve been on this planet for over 5000 years.

We’ve been through much crueler trials

We don’t know how long this will take,

or what cost we have to pay,

But there’s one thing we are 100% sure

We are going to win this war in the end!

Because that’s what we’ve been doing
因为在过去5000年的历史中
for the past 5000 years.

And that’s what makes us

the greatest nation ever

It is only by going through dark times
只有经历黑暗时刻
that we can separate the greatest from the great.

No matter how strong our enemy was

When all of this is over,
